That little silver lining

I'm at the end of my 32nd week! I had both of the boys by this point so we are beyond thrilled that I'm still pregnant and going strong. Don't get me wrong, this has been HARD. I would go as far as to say this is the hardest thing I have ever had to endure. The kidney pain, the vomiting, the never ending labor pains, ugh...it really has been challenging from day to day for not only me but us as a family. I'm at the point where I'm in the hospital more than I'm home..but I'm so grateful for this experience. Not only will we be bringing a beautiful little girl into our lives, but we have learned many lessons in patience, letting go of the little things, and always always looking for that silver lining. I have learned that if you can find gratitude in your darkest hour, you can find joy in anything. I have learned that to endure to the end is great, but if you can endure with a smile, now that's something. Graceful endurance...letting the negative emotions and thoughts just pass by without giving attention to them..they will just fade away and your memory of the situation becomes a joyful one. I'm so grateful for this knowledge. Life is so beautiful. You take the good with the bad and let the bad fade away.
Dave and I worked together the other day to come up with some maternity pictures. I am on strict bedrest so we had to make it quick and as painless as possible. I was only able to sit at my desk for a few minutes so I only edited these three, but I'm so glad wer did the pictures. Pregnancy is so beautiful, but when you're the one gaining 50 pounds (oh yes I have) and feeling like you're trapped inside Jabba the Hut, the last thing you want is pictures taken. So thankful for Dave's encouragement to do this and his constant praise during the picture taking. I'm so blessed to be his wife!
