In our quest to make Sunday "unplugged day", we came up with a game to play with the kids. No less reverent than video games, mind you, but it was worth a shot. It was very dark and rainy outside so it was perfect. We all put on do-rags and eye patches and made a treasure map of our house. David hid the booty, I mean, a little chest full of our spare change..AHEM, I mean all our pirates gold, and we began our 'adventure'. It was so much fun for the boys. Ashton was so freaked out. I was holding his cute little pirate hand and he was shaking, especially in the basement, er..the cave, where there were skeletons and snakes lurking everywhere. After we found the booty and split it two ways, Jared exclaimed, "This is the BEST family EVER!!" That's a good feeling.
